Welcome to LadyPrompts. If you have ever seen a beautiful AI saree portrait and wondered how people make them, this guide is your starting point. You do not need any experience, a special camera, or a paid app – just one selfie and a free AI tool.
What you need before you start
Three things: a clear, front-facing selfie in good light (no sunglasses, no heavy filters), the Gemini app or website signed in, and a prompt you like from our gallery. That is the whole kit.
Step 1 – Pick a prompt that matches your photo
Prompts work best when the style fits the photo you are starting from. If your selfie is a close-up, pick a portrait-style prompt. If it is a full-length photo, pick a prompt written for full outfits. Every prompt on LadyPrompts tells you which tool it was made for – start with the Gemini ones.
Step 2 – Upload your photo and paste the prompt
Open Gemini, start a new chat, upload your selfie, and paste the full prompt text exactly as written. The first lines of our prompts are the important part: they tell the AI to keep your exact face – same eyes, nose, lips, jaw and skin tone – and change only the outfit, hair styling and background. Do not shorten them.

If the face drifts, your photo was probably too dark, angled, or filtered – try a clearer selfie before you blame the prompt. If the AI over-smooths your skin, add the line “keep natural skin texture, do not beautify” at the end of the prompt. If hands look odd, pick a pose in the prompt where hands rest simply or hold an object – complicated hand poses fail the most.
The golden rule – your face stays yours
A good portrait prompt never asks the AI to make a new woman. It asks the AI to dress you differently. That is why every LadyPrompts prompt is written around face preservation first and fashion second – the result should look like you on your best day, not like a stranger.
Where to go next
Browse the prompt gallery, save the looks you love, and try the same selfie with three different styles – a saree, an editorial portrait, and a festive look. You will quickly learn which prompt wording your face responds to best. That experimentation is the whole fun of it.
