Who we are

LadyPrompts is a free library of copy-and-paste AI portrait prompts for women, founded and edited by Bushra Daniyal. Our website address is: https://ladyprompts.com. You can reach us through our Contact page.

What we collect and why

Prompt submissions. When you send a prompt through our Submit a Prompt page, we collect your name, email address, the prompt text and any image you attach. We use this only to review the submission. Submissions stay as private drafts; if yours is published, your name appears as the credit, with your consent.

Contact messages. When you write to us through the Contact page, your message is delivered to us by email so we can reply. Contact messages are not stored in a database on this website.

Accounts and saved prompts. You can create an account or sign in with Google to save prompts and track your submissions. In that case we store your name, email address, your Google account ID (if you use Google sign-in) and your saved prompt list, so the account works. We never see or store your Google password.

Image generator. When you use our free image generator, the prompt you type is sent to the image provider that creates the picture. We use your IP address for short-term rate limits that keep the free tool fair for everyone.

Comments. When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it; after approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Copy counts. When a visitor copies a prompt, we record an anonymous count on that prompt. IP addresses are held briefly in temporary rate-limit records so one visitor cannot inflate the count.

Media

If you upload images to the website (for example with a prompt submission), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies, so you do not have to fill in your details again. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we set cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days; if you select “Remember Me”, your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand which prompts and pages are popular. These tell us counts and patterns, not who you are.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (for example videos, images or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website: those websites may collect data about you, use cookies and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell personal data. Data is processed only by the services needed to run this website: our hosting provider, the image providers that power the generator (they receive the prompt text you type), spam-protection services that check submissions and comments, and the Gravatar service for comment avatars. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

Prompt submissions are kept while they are under review and, if published, as part of the published prompt’s record. Account information is kept while your account exists. Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognise and approve follow-ups automatically. Contact emails are kept as ordinary correspondence.

Your rights over your data

If you have an account on this site, have left comments, or have sent us a submission, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, and you can request that we erase it. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes. Send requests through our Contact page.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments and prompt submissions may be checked through automated spam detection services. Prompt text typed into the image generator is sent to the image provider to generate the image, as described above.
